Down-to-earth has split up!

But please don’t panic…..we have bought the shop next door which can only mean one thing - even more nice things!

We are hugely expanding our food side of down-to-earth in our existing shop and sell dairy products, fresh local meat and preservative free ready meals! Lots of things for the ‘can cook’ and quite a few for the ‘can’t cook’! Please see our list of suppliers for more details on current and new products.

As usual we will be sourcing the majority of new stock from local or farmers market produce and will be significantly upping our organic product range. With some goods we will need to go further afield though but we promise they will be of the highest quality and as local as possible. As a small trader we know how important it is that we stick together!

At the back of the shop we will be having the hugely popular Jane Hogben terracotta range of beautiful kitchen and garden pieces made in Buckinghamshire and Bradley’s Leather products that are handmade so beautifully at his tannery in Shropshire.

Matthew Lewis’ hand-woven baskets will be stocked along with the ever popular Oakwood saw mill welly racks and jacks. They will now be accompanied by Cath Kidston Wellington boots for the more fashion conscious walker amongst you….!

As for next door…. The beautiful interiors of Cath Kidston and Greengate will be accompanied by Susie Watson Ceramics, Natural Magic Candles and a wide range of gift cards, wrap and other lovely bits. We will be stocking local artists cards such as Hannah Cottrell and L. Michelle Garner as well as the Cath Kidston range and a few other ones that we really like too!

On top of the normal Cath Kidston ranges we have her towelling range and her brand new paper napkin and plate range which is perfect for one off entertaining and catering on the move.

The current shop will remain charmingly rustic and even more delicious (in a very literal manner!) whilst next door will be a bit more clean-cut and modern. Please don’t fear though, we will not lose any of our charm or ‘character’ - only the décor will be changing!

On top of everything said we must thank all of you for making us what we have become. We have had a fabulous first year and could not have dreamt that down-to-earth would have hit such heights!
